Seismic retrofitting construction case study [Gunma Prefecture, Shrine Assembly Hall]
Leave the leveling down work to Tanaka Painting Co., Ltd.!
We handle everything from surface preparation to floor shaping in-house, ensuring consistent quality in our construction. Therefore, we are confident not only in our solid workmanship but also in our cost performance! <Problem> The existing concrete floor levels are inconsistent. There is a height difference of 40mm between the highest and lowest points, with varying levels throughout. We considered breaking up the entire area and pouring a leveler, but this did not align with the project timeline or budget, so we were asked to find a solution. <Solution/Method> We proposed a method where we would leave the low areas untouched and only cut and grind the high areas to reduce the current height differences. Since the finish was to be carpet tiles, we ensured to secure enough overlap for the carpet tiles while correcting the overall floor level to a standard of 10mm. <Result/Effect> We were able to complete the project within the scheduled timeline. Compared to breaking up the floor, there was less dust and reduced damage to the building, and by minimizing the number of workers needed, the supervisor appreciated the ease of management! *For more information about our company, please refer to our catalog or feel free to contact us.*
